Corpus Christi College, Oxford

Corpus Christi College, founded in 1517, is a vibrant, close-knit Oxford college known for academic excellence.

Following a review of its communications, the College was keen to modernise its online presence but also wanted to reflect its tradition and rich history.  

The old site was bespoke and didn’t connect with new technologies which prevented the College from making important changes and content updates. Although it had a vintage charm which some of the students liked, it was not mobile-first and was problematic for internal users and hard to maintain.

The website re-design was commissioned long before the appearance of Covid-19, but the timing proved fortuitous in that it was launched just as Corpus, like all other higher education institutions, had to move to online teaching and outreach activities during the spring and summer of 2020.

Corpus invited us to pitch having seen some of our work with other Oxbridge colleges. Ultimately, we were selected for being a digital-first agency and because Corpus found Roberto highly knowledgeable and passionate about web development within the education sector.

 New clients are assigned a Digital Producer, someone who specialises in Project Management but also has a deep understanding of web development or digital marketing projects. In this case, Sally Born was appointed to run the project from start to completion.

The new site is a great improvement. It has proved easy to manage, maintain and update, which were the largest issues when we took over the site.

The College has also found our instructions on managing the CMS and updating the website very useful in upskilling the team. 

Corpus’ internal web manager has developed a close working relationship with our lead Digital Producer, Sally Born and finds it helpful that she’s always just a phone call away.
