The client.

causaLens is the pioneer of Causal AI — a new category of intelligent machines that reason about the world the way humans do, through cause-and-effect relationships and with imagination. Causal AI goes beyond standard predictive analytics, directly augmenting human decision-making.

The challenge.

When causaLens approached Contra after being recommended by IQ Capital, they were a relatively small team of scientists on a mission to optimise the global economy. Their top priority was to build an SEO-optimised site that reflected the nature of their work – a trailblazing deeptech organisation.

The strategy.

Conduct desk research on the target audience and market. Design and build a site with a ‘SaaS’ look and feel while content is simultaneously created and uploaded to Gather Content, allowing the website to be populated with content in parallel. Conduct keyword research and optimise the website back-end for SEO.

What we did.

User personas

Informed by our research, we created several buyer personas incorporating the characteristics and goals of people who were likely to be interested in causaLens’ services. This allowed us to identify common themes and tackle challenges that the majority of customers were likely to face.

Web design

To reflect the innovative nature of the business, we built a website design that was modern and provided a premium feel, creating a sense of excitement amongst its users. Wireframes were used to establish the structure of new and existing pages. The design incorporated microinteractions and SVG animations to create visual interest and enhance user experience.

Conversion rate optimisation

The structure of the site and individual pages were designed to guide users through their buying journey and drive conversions, as well as ensuring the site was structurally sound from a technical SEO perspective. We added an optimised ‘Book a demo’ page to further boost conversion rates. We also set out a content roadmap for conversion-driving assets such as video.

Keyword research and SEO

We conducted keyword research based on topic clusters. This enabled us to optimise the site by threading carefully selected keywords throughout page titles and meta descriptions. Backlinking campaigns were also conducted to establish domain authority and improve discoverability.

Reporting

We monitored keyword rankings and provided recommendations that could further optimise the site for search engines. This also involved monitoring the performance of pages on the site to identify areas of improvement and inform our optimisation strategy going forward.
