Magrath Sheldrick LLP is a leading international employment and immigration law specialist. It has a truly global reach with offices across the world. Headquartered in central London, it has one of the UK’s most successful business immigration practices, providing UK, US and Global immigration solutions to some of the world’s leading businesses and private individuals.
The challenge.
As with most top law firms, Magrath traditionally generated new business from outbound sales and marketing activity. It had a dated website and visual identity and the site’s content was confusing and poorly structured. The key was to improve its web presence and make it digital-marketing-friendly, leading to high-quality enquiries, while showcasing its breadth of talent.
The strategy.
Conduct market research. Develop a new visual identity including logo-strengthening work, new fonts, colourways and visual assets. Research and create ‘buyer personas’. Structure the site content around more efficient user journeys, developing clear service descriptions, content clusters and calls-to-action. Incorporate live chat to funnel inbound enquiries.

We created a sleek and professional web design to reflect Magrath Sheldrick’s boutique brand. This involved utilising bold contrasting colours to enhance readability and user experience. We conducted in-depth keyword research to identify terms frequently searched for by Magrath’s target audience. Every page was populated with optimised meta titles and descriptions to improve results page visibility and ranking. We included target keywords throughout title tags, headers, and body copy, highlighting precisely what the content is about for users and search engines.Intuitive navigation
The Magrath Sheldrick team boasts a wealth of experience across hundreds of services. These needed to split by three key areas (Immigration, Employment and Dispute Resolution) as well as organising them by ‘business’ and ‘personal’ service types. With many of the services being closely related, they also needed to be organised by main services, sub-services and sub-sub services. We created a mega menu, improving user experience by offering clear navigation, reducing clicks, and displaying a wide range of options in one view for easy access.Powerful CRM and marketing automation
We implemented the HubSpot CRM to unlock powerful marketing and contact management capabilities. Magrath’s marketing team and fee earners can now automatically create contacts from form submissions, respond to queries, log correspondence for visibility, and route intakes to the right team members. The team can also make calls, create meeting links, manage pipelines, send/receive documents, and qualify leads.
