The client.

MetFilm School is a leading film, television, and online media school offering undergraduate, postgraduate, and short courses across various craft areas. Its mission is to provide students with a practical, high-quality learning experience grounded in professional industry practice and preparation.

The challenge.

Develop a mobile-friendly website that is highly image and video-driven. The current website was static and uninspiring. Showcase MetFilm’s brand pillars and courses with engaging landing pages that are designed to convert. Ensure the site navigation structure is optimised for the best possible user experience.

The strategy.

Execute internal and external stakeholder interviews. Conduct site user behaviour, audience, keyword and traffic research. Produce a website strategy that covers site structure, user testing, content, design, SEO, and technology. Build the website and craft engaging copy designed to increase applications.

What we did.

Student personas

We built up a series of student personas that, along with our research, informed our strategy. We concluded that student applicants need to feel reassured that this is a place they can fit in and call “home”. We also needed to show the wealth of practical experience they will receive and how this will, ultimately, lead to a career in film or television. This would be backed by real success stories and case studies.

Powerful messaging

It was also time to change how the website addressed prospective students. We conducted competitor analysis that highlighted how similar websites used messaging statements to communicate brand values and key outcomes. We needed to make prospective students feel inspired through career focused messaging and alumni success stories, essentially promising that MetFilm would help them achieve their big screen dreams too.

Bold, dynamic, and friendly design

We needed to build a design that reflected the vibrancy of the college better than the existing website which was both static and dull. A picture may tell a thousand words, but a film tells an entire story. We created a video-driven website design that reflected the modernity of the school with its unrivalled practical experience.
